The Financial Street Forum was founded in 2012 on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Financial Street, intending to promote communication and cooperation within the financial sector and enhance the international reputation and influence of Beijing Financial Street. Starting in 2020, the Financial Street Forum has officially upgraded to a professional forum at the national and international levels. As an important platform for the opening up and development of China, the Financial Street Forum is included in the construction of “Two Zones” and “Four Platforms” in Beijing and is renowned as the “bellwether of China’s financial reform and development.” Based on the annual conference, the Financial Street Forum holds sub-forums and salon activities throughout the year, forming a framework system of “one main forum + N sub-forums + multiple salons.” Since its upgrading in 2020, the Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum has made steady progress, with a rich and detailed set of topics and a constantly increasing level of internationalization, and has gradually grown into a national-level authoritative platform for the publicity and release of financial policies, a platform for the healthy interaction between finance and the real economy, a platform for China’s participation in global financial governance, and a platform for international financial exchanges and cooperation.

The Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2023 was successfully held in Beijing from November 8th to 10th, 2023. The conference, themed “Better China, Better World – Enhancing Financial Openness and Cooperation for Shared Growth and Mutual Benefits,” was a comprehensive event with a total of 42 activities. More than 400 guests worldwide (including over 110 overseas guests) delivered speeches or participated in discussions; over 6,000 guests attended the conference in person. The event was covered by more than 160 domestic and foreign media outlets, with over 600 journalists participating in the conference. The total number of relevant reports reached 123,000 items, totaling 1.55 billion views. The conference authoritatively publicized and interpreted the policies of China’s financial reform and opening-up, widely expressed China’s confidence and determination in opening-up for cooperation, fully demonstrated the profoundness and comprehensiveness of the professional discussions, and effectively promoted the implementation and transfer of multiple achievements.

The Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2024, themed “Trust and Confidence: Work Together to Promote Financial Openness and Cooperate for Economic Stability and Development”, will be held in Beijing from October 18th to 20th, 2024. The Annual Conference will adopt an activity framework of “one main forum + parallel forums (including special events) + global fintech conferences.”
